General questions
All your technicians and administrative staff must use our software to create/modify your reports. When a report is completed and ready to be sent to your client, you must use the "proceed" function of our software. This feature is only accessible when the user, who is trying to proceed reports, has a valid account related to your business. After validation by our servers, the user can print or transmit the final version of the report. Statisitics of the report will be posted on your commercial account and invoiced on your periodic bill.
All Canadian companies working in the field of building safety inspections and audits. We have templates for : Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting and Fire Extinguisher and are currently developing for Sprinkler systems. If you have additional needs, you can let us know at info@novoreports.com and we will try to find a customized solution to meet your specific requirements.
Of course ! Anyone can download our software to try it. The only restriction is that you will not be able to produce the final version of the report. This requires a commercial account. However, you will be able to produce an internal report that you can share and use within your company. This internal report is very similar to the final version but includes a seal that prevents use without payment. This seal can be removed with your commercial account without losing your reports.
Absolutely. We are constantly working with our customers to improve our solution. The updates are managed automatically and we are still developing new tools. We do not want you to worry about managing multiple types of reports from your different subcontractors. We do not want to see you invest in costly development for every new standard adopted, and we do not want you to use paper anymore for your inspection reports.
We know that this can happen, so you can copy/paste all important information from your reports at any time into a file of your choice. This file can then be read by another software or used as you wish. This feature is free and can be used on all NovoReports software reports. You do not take any risk to try it.
Web Site and Account
First, you must setup an account by contacting us at info@novoreports.com. We will contact you by email if we need more information or when your account will be created. After the process, you'll be able to manage your account on our website and download our software. [Request commercial account]
There are four different access levels that you can manage on your commercial account :
  • Administrator (Can manage all offices and users of the company)
  • Director (Can manage one office and users of this office)
  • Supervisor (Can manage users of his office)
  • Employee (Can manage their personnal information)
All active users can produce reports for their office.
No. Only users who proceed reports for your customers and their superiors. Your technicians and sales representatives can use our software without having an account if they do not need to proceed report for your customers. We recommend to have your reports proceeded by a small number of people and have them reviewed by a technical officer before proceeding.
Pricing
All prices for all account are in CAD and are rounded to 0.01$.
For now, we accept interac transfers at info@novoreports.com and check ordered to NovoReports. Do not forget to return the payment slip with your check or indicate the invoice number corresponding. You will receive your invoices via the email indicated when you opened your account.
You can see all prices on this page, but we estimate that a technician who inspect an average of 1 device every 3 minutes, on a 7 hours working day, will cost around 800.00 $ per year. This is an estimate and does not represent an annual price. The total cost is very variable depending on the number of reports made and the efficiency of your technicians. The advantage of this billing method for our customers is that we depend on your efficiency (we want you to be more productive) and you do not have to pay for a technician on vacation or away. You have no contract with us.
Software
All data is stored in an .nvr file related to the NovoReports software. You can keep these files on your server or computer the same way you keep a text file or image file. No reports are stored on our servers. We only save statistics for billing and validation purposes.
An intervention is a password protected section on our reports. Your technicians must create/select the corresponding intervention when they want to modify a report. The change will then be associated with the selected intervention. When creating reports for your customers, all intervention statistics will be sent to our servers for validation and added to your business account, if they are not already invoiced. In addition, the interventions serve as historical work done on a report until the reset of it (before the main inspection).
Should you need any support or additionnal explanation on any features, we prefer that you contact us directly at info@novoreports.com. This way, we can solve your issues quickly and at the same time use those questions to ameliorate the user's experience with our software.
Our software is compatible with computers and touchscreen tablets using versions Windows 7 and later. There is no mobile application for our software because we think it is not an optimal screen size to perform an inspection. Because our solution is designed to perform inspections of various sizes and complexities, we do not believe that technicians can have an adequate overall view of a 500-component inspection on a smartphone screen. We recommend using a Windows tablet with a screen larger than 10 inches.
